We’re Hiring – Recruitment, Admissions + Programs Associate
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Collegiate Programs + Alumni Engagement Department at TFAS is hiring a Recruitment, Admissions + Programs Associate. This position will focus on various recruitment and admissions projects for TFAS’s Washington, D.C.-based academic internship programs. These programs are for undergraduate students interested in careers in government, public policy, journalism and the nonprofit sector, as well as for first- and second-year law students. The position will also support collegiate and alumni programming.
This is a full-time role based in TFAS’s Washington, D.C. office. The position requires a limited amount (up to 10%) of travel for recruitment conferences, college campus visits, and events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment + Outreach
- Plan and staff recruitment conferences, college campus visits and virtual information sessions
- Write content for the blog (#TFAS Updates) section of the website
- Draft student and faculty correspondence
- Assist with marketing mail and email campaigns
- Contribute to digital communications, including creation of graphics and management of assets
- Assist with video projects and content creation for various social media platforms (@DCinternships)
- Manage database of recruitment contacts
Admissions + Tuition Payment Counseling
- Communicate with prospective applicants and enrolled students via phone, text, email and videoconferencing
- Process student application materials using CRM
- Track student tuition payments, using cloud-based accounting software
- Guide students in seeking out additional scholarship funding
Alumni Engagement
- Assist with planning and execution of in-person and virtual alumni events
- Create digital communications
- Manage online networking platforms
Student Programs
- Plan briefings, social activities, and other special events for student programs
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree is required
- Past internship or entry-level experience in higher education, program management, marketing, or other related fields
- Strong communication, organizational and office skills
- An interest in student programming with an emphasis on free-market education
- A command of the Microsoft Office Suite and a desire to learn new software platforms
- Design experience using Canva and/or the Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus
- A willingness to work in a team environment and independently
