AboutOverview
This summer: June 6 - August 1, 2009
Invest in your future and make a difference in the lives of others this summer by attending
the Institute on Philanthropy and Voluntary Service (IPVS)! This dynamic program is intended for students who are involved in volunteer activities and are excited about exploring professional opportunities in the nonprofit sector.
“Living in Washington, DC, studying at Georgetown, and serving as an intern has contributed exponentially to my growth as an individual and a future nonprofit professional.”

IPVS is ideal for undergraduate student leaders who are engaged in service programs on and off their campuses. All majors and fields of study are welcome.
With a single application, students are enrolled at Georgetown University, live in a furnished apartment on campus in the heart of DC, and are placed in a competitive internship for eight weeks.
As part of the Institute experience, students attend exclusive events and participate in hands-on activities including developing a mission statement, planning service projects and organizing fundraising activities. At the end of the Institute, students award a grant to a worthy community program with the money raised.
LIVE. LEARN. INTERN. Make a Difference this Summer.
