LIFE IN D.C.

Housing

One of the student residence buildings

Capital Semester students live in residential apartment buildings in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC. This area features shops, restaurants, coffee houses and a lively night life.

Housing is within a short walk to the Capitol Building, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court and two Metrorail stations.

As Georgetown students, Capital Semester participants have full access to the many amenities of Georgetown University including the gymnasium, library, and free transportation to/from campus from various Metrorail stations.

About the Apartments
Participants will be housed in apartments that are fully furnished, including a complete kitchen. They are internet-ready and air-conditioned, and students will have access to laundry facilities.

Transportation
The apartments are just a short walk from the Eastern Market and Capitol South metro stations. Students will also have access to the free Georgetown University Transportation bus, making it easy for students to get back-and-forth from their classes on campus in Georgetown.

Neighborhood
The historic apartment buildings located on the House side of Capitol Hill are part of the largest residential neighborhood in Washington. It is one of the oldest residential communities in DC with numerous shops, restaurants, Congressional buildings and many of the city’s most significant cultural attractions close by.

"My favorite part of living in Capitol Hill was being able to engage in the day-to-day action that happens just steps from our apartments. I enjoyed taking afternoon jogs around the Capitol building down the National Mall towards the Washington Monument."
